How do you remove the starter of 1998 Toyota Corolla once all bolts removed? Answer There is a third bolt at the top of the starter that is removed from the opposite direction through the block. The two bottom bolts came out one direction. The top bolt comes out the opposite direction. You have to feel for it, its there. See Haynes Repair manual, it doesn't spell it out but does have an illustration where the third bolt is. Another Answer If all bolts have been removed and motor still won't come out you'll need to tap the starting motor with something hard, like a hammer, but tap carefully and firmly this will help the starting motor to become looser and be removed. |
