How do you adjust the clutch on a 1996 Nissan Altima GXE 5-speed?

Answer
there is a cble that comes from the firewall to the transmission and connects to an arm that sticks out the side of the transmission between the motor and the trans(the bellhousing). at the end of this cble there is a big threaded rod. turn the rod to add tension. the pedal in the car should only have 1-2 inches of play before you should feel any major resistance. if you turn the threaded rod out to far than it will run out. if you run the rod all the way out and still have excessive play than you need a new clutch. good luck.
