By Car Model ---- |
Toyota makes reliable cars, but their starters are known to wear down
their contacts and just *click* when the key is turned - if yours starts doing
this (and other times cranks fine), it's not the motor or the solenoid, it's
just these contacts! I filmed my attempt to fix mine *without* removing the starter,
in the hopes it would help others; the car starts now without a click, but
I didn't get the plunger-type contact, so my grinding job is all that is between
me and another repair - order both the contacts and plunger if *you* do this
job! Good luck! |
