How to Change Headlamp in Chrysler 2001 Town and Country

This page assumes you could change a headlamp on a car from the 80's. The only real trick to the '01 T&C is figuring how to get at the lamp housing. The engine space is so tightly packed the base of the headlamp is not obvious. You can see the detail with photos on my own page:Chrysler T&C page

Steps

1. Locate the little handle that sits on top of the 'box' that the headlamp is in. There are three little screw heads attached to this box.
2. Remove them; the entire headlamp comes away from the car and you have access to the bulb just like on any normal old US car.

Tips

• Keep those screws in a safe place so you do not lose them when you are on your way to the car parts store.
• Also put the bulb in and turn the lights before you reattach the lamp box (so you know it is working), and check high and low beam lighting.
