Once in the evaporator coil it will obsorb the heat from the interior
of the vehicle. Because the evaporator coil is deep inside the dash I just want
to show an example of what it looks like. So the refrigerant comes into here
in liquid form and as it comes in here under low pressure it removes the heat.
Comes out as a gas on the other end which returns to the compressor to be compressed
again. The cycle starts over. So that's the basic way that the airconditioner
works.They have a couple of different control vices. This vehicle uses an
expansion valve. Like a chevrolet or a lot of american cars use what's called
an orfice tube. Which is inline which creates a restriction. |
