What is the oil capacity of the rear differential on a 2002 suburban? Answer It will take just under (3) quarts/liters of 75/90 gear oil. I highly recommend using full synthetic gear oil (mobil 1). Also, you do not have to take the rear axle cover off , as ther is a drain bolt that is flush on the bottom of the axle The answer below is also correct I don't know the capacity, but I know how to tell if it is full. Normally you add gear lube until it runs out the hole used to fill it. As soon as some starts to come out stop adding lube and insert the plug. |
